Motion Art at FitRec

Boston University’s Dance Theatre Group is pleased to present MOTION ART AT FITREC, an evening of multiple mediums of art on Thursday, March 28 from 8:30- 9:30 p.m. This is a collaborative site-specific performance of dancers, singers, artists, and musicians that highlights the power of overlapping forms of art. Highlighting the talent and creativity of BU students, MOTION ART AT FITREC will include: • Performances from Boston University’s Dance Theatre Group, including pieces from their fall show, Origins 2018, and an improvisation piece by the E-Board. • Performances from student dance groups BU Bhangra and BU Ballroom. • An a cappella performance from Boston University’s Suno. • A site-specific piece created by Residency Artist Jun Kuribiyashi MOTION ART AT FITREC will be happening at Boston University’s Fitness & Recreation Center, located at 915 Commonwealth Avenue. It is presented in cooperation with BU Dance Program and the FitRec center. This event is also partially funded by the Undergraduate Student Fee. Admission to MOTION ART AT FITREC is free and open to the public. Dance Theatre Group (DTG) was created in 1973 to give the Boston University community the opportunity to learn different styles of dance and the chance to perform in student, alumni, and faculty works. Dance Theatre Group is dedicated to building a community that values dance as a concert art form.
