Forum on FAMILY SEPARATION

BU Wheelock’s committee on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion is convening an evening forum on the impact of children and communities involved in the federal separation of families. Experts from Boston University’s School of Social Work, School of Law, School of Public Health and Wheelock will take part in a panel to focus on the many dimensions and impacts of the policy.

Moderator Dr. Michelle Porche (Clinical Associate Professor, Applied Human Development, BU Wheelock) and her team of students will provide a general overview of the harm of this policy, results of a project with BMC’s Dr. Lisa Fortuna to write amicus briefs for court challenges. Panelists will be asked to respond through the lens of their discipline. A reception will follow.
