Sara Y. Aharon is the author of From Kabul to Queens: the Jews of Afghanistan and Their Move to the United States. She studied modern Jewish history at NYU and Brandeis University. In 2012 The Jewish Week named her to its “36 under 36” annual honorees list of young leaders impacting the Jewish community.
