Originally from Nairobi, Kenya, Paul moved to Cedar Rapids, IA to pursue his undergraduate education. Inspired by his father, a doctor, and his mother, a nurse, Paul entered higher education in order to work with underrepresented and underserved students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This summer, Paul worked in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/photonics-ret\/thomas-bifano-2023\/\">Bifano Lab<\/a>\u00a0on \u201cHigh Throughput Screening of Cardiomyopathy in 3D Engineered Tissues\u201d with Tom Bifano and graduate mentor Ruifeng Hu. The Bifano Lab collaborated with the Helms Lab at the University of Michigan.
