Encouraged from an early age by his father, a civil engineer and computer scientist, Evan always knew he had a passion for STEM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As an REU this summer, Evan worked with PI Darren Roblyer in the Biomedical Optical technologies lab on \u201cSpeckle Contrast Optical Spectroscopy for Blood Pressure Monitoring.\u201d This project worked on developing a continuous, non-invasive blood pressure monitor for monitoring hypertension.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evan plans to take a gap year following his undergraduate education, and then to apply to an MS or PhD program in Medical Physics with a clinical focus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Having moved several times throughout his childhood, Evan Biller eventually settled on UNC Chapel Hill, where he majors in Physics with a Minor in Math.
