After her early education in Russia inspired her with a love of learning, she became interested in biology in high school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This summer, Anastasiia worked with PI John White in the Neuronal Dynamics Lab on developing a MATLAB script to identify neurons in images from different microscopes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anastasiia plans to apply to earn a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University following her bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Born and raised in Siberia, Russia, Anastasiia now attends the University of Rochester, where she majors in Biomedical Engineering.
