His research focuses on a variety of topics in metaphysics, natural philosophy, and epistemology in early modern and medieval philosophy. His dissertation,\u00a0<i>Descartes and the metaphysics of causality in the material world<\/i>, analyzes the metaphysical underpinnings of Cartesian physics, offering new accounts of Descartes\u2019s understanding of bodily force, divine concurrence, and the laws of nature.
