He was a Research Fellow at the Australian National University, before moving to Boston University and the United States in 2008. He has published a monograph, <em>Knowing Better: Virtue, Deliberation, and Normative Ethics<\/em> (OUP, 2015), as well as several peer-reviewed articles in journals such as <em>Analysis<\/em>, <em>Ethics<\/em>, <em>Hypatia<\/em>, <em>Journal of Moral Philosophy<\/em>, <em>Jurisprudence<\/em>, <em>Oxford Studies in Normative Ethics<\/em>, <em>Oxford Studies in Metaethics<\/em>, and <em>Ratio<\/em>. He is the editor of the <em>Oxford Handbook of Reasons and Normativity<\/em> (OUP, 2018) and one of two editors of <em>History of Ethics: Essential Readings with Commentary<\/em> (Wiley, 2019), and an associate editor of the <em>International Encyclopedia of Ethics <\/em>(11 volumes, Wiley, 2021).
