Would you like to meet with a Peer Tutor to talk through your Philosophy classwork, homework, papers and more?<\/p>\n

The Department of Philosophy is pleased to partner with CAS Writing Program’s Tutoring Writing in the Disciplines to offer peer tutoring and writing support for undergraduate students. Our tutors are Philosophy majors who offer support at any step of the writing process.<\/p>\n

Tutoring Writing in the Disciplines (TWID) is a discipline-based peer writing tutoring program. Department-based peer writing tutors, trained by the WID Director in tutoring practices, provide writing support to students in all courses within a discipline. Initially funded by CAS and a grant provided by Digital Education Incubator, TWID is now supported in part by a gift from Jennifer Simpson (CAS ’00). Read more here about TWID.<\/a><\/p>\n

Ronnie is a fourth year philosophy student, with interests in philosophy of action, phenomenology, Wittgenstein, and ethics of care. She is also a senior editor at Arche, the student-led academic philosophy journal at BU. Outside of her studies, she enjoys hiking, running, doing pottery, and playing sudoku. Ronnie is happy to support students in anything related to philosophical writing and research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lucas is a philosophy major from Ceara, Brazil. They are particularly interested in philosophy of language and in social systems. Lucas likes to take an interdisciplinary approach to writing, and is always eager to explore new fields and disciplines. In their spare time, Lucas cooks at a soup kitchen and goes on bike journeys around Boston.<\/div>\n
