Kuang Li

Postdoctoral Associate

Kuang Li (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Associate in the BU Professional Development & Postdoctoral Affairs (PDPA) office. She assists the PDPA team in developing, organizing, implementing, and assessing our micro-credentialing platform, PhD Progression. Kuang supports the expansion of the current badges in PhD Progression and creates workforce-driven flexible credentials for doctoral students. She also assists the PDPA team in supporting the creation of a multi-institutional consortium that contributes to the badge creation and offers blended learning opportunities.

Prior to working at BU PDPA, Kuang earned her doctorate in Language Education from BU Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. Her doctoral research focused on English learners’ college access and success. She worked as an instructor of record for several graduate-level language education-related and educational research methods courses at BU Wheelock between Fall 2019 and Spring 2022. She also worked as a Writing Fellow at BU Educational Resource Center between Fall 2018 and Summer 2022, and provided writing support for many BU graduate and doctoral students. Kuang received her MPhil in Research in Second Language Education from the University of Cambridge, UK, and her BA in English Language and Literature from Jilin University, China.
