Postdoc Annual Evaluation
Conversations focused on academic progress and career planning have been demonstrated to support academic researchers’ productivity, job satisfaction, and career placement (Sigma Xi, 2015; Fuhrmann 2018). This template has been developed to facilitate regular conversations between faculty and academic researchers and can be submitted annually in lieu of the employee performance review template provided by Human Resources.
This template also fulfills sections in NSF and NIH Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPR) that relate to opportunities for professional development provided by the project, the development of human resources, and career/individual development plans.
Mentors must provide an annual review to each postdoctoral scholar, either as part of the University’s process for staff or in cadence with the annual cycle of the funding source that pays for their appointment
