It showcases\u00a0selected work by the graduate students of the Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology at Boston University,\u00a0one of the oldest scholarly programs in music in the United States.\u00a0It represents the scholarly breadth and depth of the work of our department,\u00a0and is published exclusively online.<\/p>\n<p>The primary aim of its editors is to provide a space for our students to share their best work as a means of further enhancing our community and its powerful commitment to collaboration and collegiality.<\/p>\n<p>By making our students\u2019 work accessible online, we invite students and faculty from other universities as well as the wider public to experience our vibrant and active academic community.<\/p>\n<p>Issues will appear once per semester.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The PDME is on hiatus during the academic year 2013-2014 as the editors are on leave.
