He is currently a full professor at the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.impa.br\/opencms\/en\/\">Instituto de Matem\u00e1tica Pura e Aplicada (IMPA)<\/a>, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is an expert in wave propagation, with particular interest in surface waves and waves in coastal regions.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Nachbin represented IMPA in the international collaboration network of higher-education institutions from Latin America and Europe that was led by the PI, Prof. Barba, from 2006 to 2010, titled \u201cScientific Computing Advanced Training\u201d.
