Page restrictions: 25 typed, double-spaced, for fiction and nonfiction. Poetry
entries can include any number of poems up to 10 pages. Each story, essay, or
group of poems constitutes one entry.
Entry fee: $15 for each entry (checks made payable to
The Missouri Review).
Each fee entitles entrant to a one-year subscription to
TMR,
an extension of a
current subscription, or a gift subscription (a $7 savings from the regular
subscription price). Please indicate your choice and enclose a complete address
for subscriptions. Entries must be clearly addressed to:

Outside of the envelope must be marked "Fiction,""Essay," or "Poetry." Each entry
in each category must be mailed in a separate envelope. Enclose an index card
with author's name, address, and telephone number in the left corner and the
work's title in the center of the card if fiction or essay. This information should
also be included in the first page of the submission.
Entries must be previously unpublished and will not be returned. Enclose #10
SASE or email address for announcement of winners only. In addition to the
winners, three finalists in each category will receive awards and be considered
for publication.
Deadline: Entries must be postmarked by 15 October 2002.
