Since that time I have brewed my morning coffee precisely as he had
taught me to brew it.
I often summon him up. He is wearing his Moorish dressing gown
and the leather slippers with turned-up toes. Sometimes while pouring
water from the measuring cup with one hand he rubs his nose with the
other, rubs it so hard that you can hear the cartilage crack.
