very good friend of mine , a great jazz drummer, told me that when he
went to Russia he met people who looked like him and like the people
he grew up with, but still there was something different about them. We
are all Americans, and we can constantly influence this country to move
closer and closer to the highest aspects of its ideals. We're going to be
disappointed many times, we're going to be betrayed, et cetera, but I
think we 're going to win. We've been able
to
influence this country the
way we have because we're tough, and we've got something to offer.
