PARTISAN REVIEW
TK:
No. Since I am a mayor, with one exception of two weeks in Spain, I
haven't taken a holiday in twenty years. My job is all-consuming. If I am in
New York, I am busy from six in the morning to midnight.
EK:
If ever you are going to know in advance, maybe you might spend an
evening at the home of one of our Advisory Board members, to talk to a
group of people. We would very much like it.
TK:
Thank you very much, I will keep it in mind.
THE FOILDED HEART
"This book's greatest
stren~th
is its touch, a laying on of
hands, Collier's hands whICh are skillful but human. This
book is everywhere alive to the felt touch. The book is sad
but consoling like most things that are true."

NORMAN DUBIE
"In
The Folded Heart,
Michael Collier more than fulfills the
promise of his first fine book. Here is a young poet well on
his way to becoming an important new voice
In
American
Poetry."
