being attacked and massacred by Jordanians, Lebanese Christians
and Shiites, or Syrians.
If anti-Zionism is one of the great hatreds of our time , that is no
doubt because it is the child of anti-Semitism, one of the great
hatreds of history. Nevertheless, it is neither logical nor practical ,
and it survives because it is not questioned.
If
there were freedom of
expression in Marxist societies, China could admit to its citizens that
it has bought arms from Israel. And if Islamic fundamentalism were
weaker, Arabs could dare to wish to live in peace with Israel. Fun–

thought.
It
is therefore a denial of the essence of humanity .
