but who could love
Manon more than Marlene Dietrich
for that matter, (first comma)
who could love me
more than you
though you are a mean almost (another almost)
vicious person
and I really beautiful beside you
if anyone knew you but me
you wouldn 't be beautiful
if you hadn 't read Proust
but I would
this poem
is called "a tantrum" by "the happy few" or will be
unless of course they are too few to know
this all seems spiritual to me
it must be against god , too (second comma)
SHE, HAS SHE BATHED IN SOUND
She, has she bathed in sound
as a cello opens itself to rain .
And manna falls on the sinner,
and snow falls on the starving .
With the savor of pain, she
has become a fountain . Poured
forth, as a virgin will love
and loving will move forward.
Draw, from this fountain , love
into your chambers. Not rejoicing,
but as wine is becoming to souls
and a window to life opens walls.
