The seminars, running from two to four weeks, will
focus on problems of writing practical criticism of
the arts. The seminars are directed mainly at two
groups of participants: advanced students of the
humanities with a strong interest in criticism and
journalists who are professionally concerned with
writing about the arts. The Institute is located at the
City University Graduate Center in New York City,
within close proximity to the City's major museums,
art galleries, and outstanding institutions of the
performing arts.
