wind-caress, bare to the moon
in silence of adoration).
If
it were so for us!
But that's the moon's world.

Robert reminds me
revolution
implies the circular: an exchange
of position, the high
brought low, the low
ascending, a revolving,
an endless rolling of the wheel. The wrong word.
We use the wrong word. A new life

Chuck Matthei
travels the country
March '69
a harbinger
(He's 20. His golden beard was pulled and clipped
by a Wyoming sheriff, but no doubt has grown again
though he can't grow knocked-out teeth.
He wears sneakers even in winter,
to avoid animal-hide; etc.)
and on his journeyings bears
my poem 'A Man'
to prisoners in the jails.
