Hitler. The businessmen are still very influential in United States af–
fairs. They can, by their stupidity and negation, block the timely
adoption of an adequate policy, and thereby make the struggle more
costly and more difficult. But they will not actively sabotage it.
In
the end they will go along, when they see more clearly what is the
case: that this struggle cannot be absorbed in any deal, no matter
how adroit; that, sooner or later, it must be decided.
