its greatness. Already I have succeeded in my own character, for I
have become my task in my whole being. Nothing comes between me
and the work I do. I have triumphed in my character and in my
person, but I must still triumph over the enemy. Sometimes I see his
armies standing before me, clearly revealed in their dark, powerful
mass, and I rush out of the schoolhouse, out of our office, and I feel
that in a moment, but one moment more, I will know the truth.
And when I hear our gunfire from the front that winds arounds
us in all directions, I know that

my faith

only great enougb,
the knowledge will come to me and I will win.
