Ross SECTION
is an annual publication de–
signed to serve as a showcase for the best
new writing talent. Critical recognition of the first
two issues, 1944 and 1945, has established it
as an important new literary medium. (Among
the 74 contributors were Jane Bowles, Millen
Brand, Brendan Gill, Langston Hughes, Arthur
Miller, Norman Rosten, Gladys Schmitt, Jesse
Stuart, Ira Wolfert, Richard Wright, and Len
Zinberg.) Arrangements have recently been
completed with Simon and Schuster to publish
future editions.
All writers, whether or not they have appeared
in print, are invited to submit manuscripts-fic–
tion, poetry, essays (up to 20,000 words) -to
CROSS SECTION
1946, by May 1st.
