Employee Parking
In anticipation of the heavy demand for on-campus parking, we are asking employees to please consider methods other than driving alone if commuting to campus during this period. For those who must drive to campus, we ask that you park in our Central and East Campus lots and garages as our West Campus lots will be reserved for Commencement families and guests beginning on Thursday, May 18 and continuing through Sunday, May 21. Enhanced Commencement shuttle service will operate on the Charles River Campus as well.
Shuttle Bus Service during Commencement Weekend:
Thursday | Regular Summer schedule serving both campuses |
Friday | Summer schedule plus added Charles River Campus Commencement Shuttles 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. |
Saturday | Saturday schedule plus added Charles River Campus Commencement Shuttles 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. |
Sunday | Charles River Campus Commencement Shuttles 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. |
The following parking restrictions will be in place for University parking permit holders on the following dates:

Additional West Campus parking may be found at the Dummer Street Garage, located on Dummer Street between Pleasant Street and St. Paul Street at 121 Dummer Street. |
Sunday, May 21:
Limited West Campus parking may be found at the Dummer Street Garage, located on Dummer Street between Pleasant Street and St. Paul Street at 121 Dummer Street. |
Meters in area of Ashford / Babcock Streets – Commencement Sunday
On Sunday, May 21, Babcock Street will be closed from the corner of Gardner Street to Ashford Street at 11am. This restriction will be strictly enforced by the Boston University Police Department.
Langsam Garage (Lot B) – Commencement Employee Parking Restriction
On Sunday, May 21, the Langsam Garage, 142 Gardner Street, will be closed to University employees as the entire garage will be reserved for pre-authorized parking for guests with accessible parking needs. This restriction will be strictly enforced by Parking & Transportation Services staff members and the Boston University Police Department.
