The following was sent to parents and family members of current students on Monday, March 9, 2020.<\/em><\/p>\n

Boston University, like many colleges and universities throughout the world, has taken a variety of steps addressing the global spread of COVID-19, the current novel coronavirus.<\/p>\n

In an effort to streamline coordinated communications and responses throughout the University, a\u00a0<\/span>website<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>has been set up to address the concerns students, faculty, staff and family members have. It is available\u00a0<\/span>here<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and updated regularly.<\/p>\n

This site will provide information regarding University-sponsored travel, as well as personal travel, and our Study Abroad programming. In an effort to reduce possible transmission of COVID-19, please be aware that the University is requiring all returning travelers from Level 2 and Level 3 countries to self-quarantine at their permanent residence whenever possible and not return to campus. On that site, we also have provided information about the University\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>emergency plan<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>in regards to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

We encourage you to keep yourself informed by reviewing this\u00a0<\/span>website<\/a>. Remind your student to do the same. That website, as well as all-University emails to students, will be the main mode of communication regarding the University\u2019s response. Thank you for your continued support of your students during these uncertain times.<\/p>\n
