Archaeology & Anthropology Lunch Talk

In collaboration with the Department of Anthropology, the BU Department of Archaeology will host Dr. Jayne-Leigh Thomas. Dr. Jayne-Leigh Thomas is the Director of the Office of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) at Indiana University. She received her Masters degree in Resource Management with a focus in bioanthropology and NAGPRA from Central Washington University in 2006 and her Ph.D. in Archaeology with a focus on human osteology and cremation studies from the University of Edinburgh in 2011. Her research interests are human osteology, bioarchaeology, NAGPRA, repatriation, ethics, mortuary practices, cremation studies and human rights.
