After the screening of The True Cost, chat with these eco-warriors about going green! Cullen Schwartz, CEO – DoneGood: Cullen is cofounder and “Chief of Good Thoughts” for DoneGood—”the Amazon for highly ethical and eco-friendly brands”.. A native Michigander and recovering politico (formerly serving as a senior communications advisor to members of Congress and in the Obama Administration), Cullen turned to startup life to avoid wearing suits everyday. Cullen was a philosophy major and lives by the teachings of Camus, de Beauvoir and the Dude. He’s passionate about people using the most powerful tool they have to create change—the dollars they spend. When he retires he plans to “move to the jungle to write books.” Shannon Lohr, Founder and CEO of Factory45: Shannon (Whitehead) Lohr works with idea-stage entrepreneurs to launch clothing companies that are ethically and sustainably made in USA. To date, Shannon has worked with over 150 entrepreneurs in the sustainable fashion space, many of whom have gone on to launch some of the most transparent supply chains in the fashion industry. Tazzy Cole is a graduate student in costume production, who is working on her fashion brand with a focus on bespoke tailoring. “I strive to create clothing and costumes that are body affirming, empowering, and energizing. I want to make clothing that feels like an extension of your personality and allows the wearer to shine.” DL Lundberg is a graduate student at BU School of Public Health and the founder of MFC Tie-Dye, a non-profit social enterprise that supports Ghanaian women with disabilities and children by creating and selling sustainable tie-dye clothes, bags, and accessories.
