Album Party: Full Moon Fever by Tom Petty

  • Starts: 3:00 pm on Friday, October 13, 2017
  • Ends: 5:00 pm on Friday, October 13, 2017
Tom Petty, American rocker and singer-songwriter, passed away last week after concluding a tour commemorating 40 years since his band released its debut album, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. While often lumped into the classic rock generation from the Sixties, Petty burst onto the scene in the late Seventies with a mix of punk attitude, Sixties guitar sounds and romantic, longing lyricism. We invite you to remember Petty by joining us for a live listening session of his first album as a solo artist, 1989’s Full Moon Fever, famous for hits “Free Fallin’” and “I Won’t Back Down,” among others. Coffee and cookies will be served.
Location:
Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground, 775 Commonwealth Ave Lower Level
