El chico que miente - The Kid Who Lies

The first entry of the XIX Ibero-American Film Festival. From Venezuela, Directed by Marcos Villatoro 2010. A thirteen year-old boy begins a journey along the coast of Venezuela and uses his powers of persuasion in order to survive, reinventing time and time again the tragic story of his experiences in a landslide. Little by little his true past is revealed: ten years ago the landslide carried his mother away, though he still believes that he can find her.
