Iraq+10 Film Series: Forget Baghdad

  • Starts: 5:30 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2012
  • Ends: 9:00 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2012
The Iraq+10 project presents a series of Middle Eastern and Western films recognizing the decennial anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq. Please join us for the second installment of the Iraq+10 film series. Forget Baghdad: Jews and Arabs – The Iraqi Connection is a documentary film following the lives of four Iraqi Jews, or Mizrahim, who fled from Iraq to Israel during the 1950s. Considered Jews in Baghdad and Arabs in Israel, the divided identities and confusion of these four men’s lives tell a much larger tale of global, political and cultural disorder. Please RSVP Mikaela at smscinst@bu.edu for Israeli food catered by Rami’s Glatt Kosher restaurant! * Films being held in conjunction with CAS courses AN307 and IR507/PO571. Public welcome to attend.
