Boston University India Club Presents: Utsav

Boston University India Club [BUIC] presents Utsav at Boston University’s Tsai Performance Center on October 13th 2012. The show will serve as the 31th annual BUIC Fall Cultural Show. The Hindi word, “Utsav,” is translated into English as the word “festival.” The masters of ceremony have developed a unique and entertaining storyline that will take the audience back to the days of "wedding crashing." The show will feature 13 acts prepared and performed entirely by Boston University students. The event will showcase the university’s talent in South Asian forms of dancing, which will include native forms of Indian dance such as Bhangra, fusion, and classical bharatnatyam. In addition to dance, there will be a variety of vocal acts, which include performances by: a Hindi acapella group, a duet, a hip hop performer and a rock band. In addition, a student-created fashion show, a classical solo dance performance, as well as the freshmen and senior class dances will add to the diverse line up of performances.
