In the aftermath of Montenegro’s recent political transition, Ambassador Vesko Gar\u010devi\u0107, Professor of the Practice of International Relations at Boston University\u2019s Pardee School of Global Studies, was asked to comment on the formation of a new Montenegrin government and the US stance on it. In a Voice of America<\/a> feature published on November 3, 2023, Gar\u010devi\u0107 emphasized the complex journey that the newly formed government faces in maintaining Montenegro’s commitment to Euro-Atlantic integration.<\/p>\n

As an expert in international relations, Gar\u010devi\u0107 expressed skepticism about significant foreign policy shifts, stating,<\/p>\n

“I do not expect Montenegro to make any spectacular turnaround in its foreign policy orientation, but I can expect it to be a reluctant NATO member.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
