Jorge Heine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span>On August 24, 2023, Amb. Jorge Heine,<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>Research Professor at Boston University\u2019s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies and Interim Director of the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/\"><span>Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future<\/span><\/a><span>, published an op-ed in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.latercera.com\/\"><em>La Tercera<\/em><\/a>, a leading Chilean publication, on the current humanitarian crisis in Haiti.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Heine expressed frustration at the lack of response from North, Central and South American countries to respond to the rapidly deteriorating situation in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/tag\/haiti\/\">Haiti<\/a>.
