Pardee School of Global Studies<\/a> at Boston University,\u00a0was recently featured in the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedialogue.org\/financial-advisor\/\"><em>Financial Services Advisor<\/em><\/a><span>, a publication of the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/tag\/inter-american-dialogue\/\">Inter-American Dialogue<\/a><span>, a Washington D.C. think tank.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Heine responded to the publication\u2019s feature Q&amp;A, which asked <\/span><span>about the impacts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/tag\/chile\/\">Chilean<\/a> President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/tag\/gabriel-boric\/\">Gabriel Boric<\/a>&#8216;s proposed reform of the country\u2019s pension system and how likely it is that the reform will win congressional approval. According to Heine, approval of the reforms seems like a no-brainer; the Chilean pension system has long been a contentious issue, and\u00a0 56% of Chileans are in favor of abolishing the private pension administrators (AFPs), which is exactly what the government\u2019s bill proposes to do.
