On September 21, 2022,\u00a0<\/span>Adil Najam<\/a>, Dean Emeritus and Professor of International Relations and Earth and Environment at Boston University\u2019s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, delivered a keynote address at the Knowledge for Development (K4D) conference hosted by the Institute for Development Studies (Sussex University) and the UK Government\u2019s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).<\/span><\/p>\n In his remarks, Najam stated that the world now finds itself in what he calls the Age of Adaptation<\/a>, meaning climate change is no longer something we can stave off; it is here. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University and was the former Vice-Chancellor of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). His research focuses on issues of global public policy, especially those related to global climate change, South Asia, Muslim countries, environment and development, and human development.
