Jorge Heine<\/a>, Research Professor at Boston University\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies<\/a>, published the lead piece in the July-September issue of Foreign Affairs Latinoam\u00e9rica.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Heine co-authored the article, titled “China y Rusia: \u00bfnuevo eje autoritario o antigua entente cordial? (China and Russia: New Authoritarian Axis or Old Entente Cordiale?),” with Andr\u00e9s Serbin, President of the Latin American and Caribbean think tank Coordinadora Regional de Investigaciones Econ\u00f3micas y Sociales (CRIES). In their article, the two argue that the new proximity between Beijing and Moscow – far from being an opportunistic “marriage of convenience” designed to irritate the West – has deep roots and is reconfiguring the Eurasian geopolitical space.<\/span><\/p>\n
