Kevin Gallagher<\/a>, Professor of Global Development Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University and Director of BU\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Global Development Policy Center<\/a>\u00a0(GDP Center), published an op-ed in Al Jazeera\u00a0<\/em>arguing for the revival of the international economic architecture.<\/span><\/p>\n Galagher co-authored the article, titled \u201cThe global economic system is in dire need of an overhaul<\/a>,<\/span>\u201d with Richard Kozul-Wright, Director of the Division on Globalization and Development Strategies at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Their piece echoes arguments laid out in their latest book, The Case for a New Bretton Woods<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n In the article, Gallagher and Kozul-Wright argue that the world must rebound from the economic fallout caused by COVID-19 by implementing sweeping reforms to how global money, finance, and trade are governed.
