The <\/span>Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 an affiliated center at Boston University\u2019s Pardee School of Global Studies \u2013 concluded the thirteenth session of the Pardee Center\u00a0Graduate Summer Fellows<\/a> program on August 6, 2021.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, the Pardee Center hosted eight fellow: Zara Albright, GRS, PhD, Political Science; Megan M. Brown, GRS, PhD, Linguistics; Charlie Cevallos, CFA, Mus.M., Music Education; Erning (Henry) Chen, Wheelock, PhD, Educational Studies; Dana Dzik, GRS, PhD, Philosophy; Nishchitha Etige, GRS, PhD, Earth & Environment; Pujan Paudel, ENG, PhD, Computer Engineering; Noor Toraif, SSW, PhD, Social Work.<\/p>\n

During the last week of the 10-week program, the fellows gave final presentations on their summer research and submitted their final papers for consideration in the Pardee Center\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>publication series<\/a>. Details of each fellows’ research can be found on the Pardee Center’s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This year’s Graduate Summer Fellows program was a testament to the Pardee Center’s flexibility amid the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the fellows’ commitment to their research. The program was held in a hybrid in-person and remote format this year, allowing for safe and effective collaboration while maintaining the integrity and rigor of the program.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>is an interdisciplinary research center affiliated with the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University. Through programs of scholarship, outreach, and education, the Pardee Center works to improve public decision-making and policy to train future generations of interdisciplinary scholars.
