[Updated October 3, 2021] <\/strong>The Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies<\/a> at Boston University honored<\/span>\u00a0the achievements of some of this year’s brightest and most talented students with the presentation of multiple academic awards<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n The Carole A. Chandler Student Citizenship Award<\/strong> is the Pardee School\u2019s highest student award and is given each year to recognize the spirit of citizenship and a demonstration of exemplary commitment to the values and mission of the Pardee School of Global Studies.<\/p>\n The 2020 Chandler Citizenship Award was awarded to Akash Chopra<\/strong> (BA; double major in International Relations and in Economics).<\/p>\n The Ambassador Herman Eilts Thesis Awards<\/strong> are given to the best undergraduate and graduate theses written by students at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies. The 2020 Eilts Award for the Best Graduate Thesis has been awarded to Amelia Dangerfield<\/strong> (MAIA) for her thesis on \u201cUnderstanding Incel Violence: Sexual Humiliation as a Risk Factor for Terrorism<\/em>,\u201d (supervised by Professor Jessica Stern). The 2020 Eilts Award for the Best Undergraduate Honors Thesis is awarded to Stephanie Hince<\/strong> (BA International Relations) for her thesis on \u201cLoja Villonaco: Role of Chinese Finance in Ecuadorian Power Sector<\/em>\u201d (supervised by Professor Kevin Gallagher).<\/p>\n The Pardee School Academic Excellence Awards\u00a0<\/strong>are given to graduate and undergraduate students who have demonstrated the highest levels of academic excellence in courses taken at the Pardee School. On the graduate level, the Academic Excellence Award was awarded to Kira Levin <\/strong>(MAIA; Certificate in African Studies). On the undergraduate level, the Academic Excellence award had three recipients:\u00a0Ava Shen\u00a0<\/strong>(BA; International Relations, and French Studies),\u00a0Luis Enrique Moya Canovas\u00a0<\/strong>(BA; International Relations, and Economics), and Glenn Korman\u00a0<\/strong>(BA; International Relations).<\/p>\n The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Prize for Academic Excellence<\/strong>, is given to the undergraduate student at the Pardee School who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. The winner of the 2020 CAS Prize is Amanda Pareja Villegas <\/strong>(BA; International Relations, and Economics).<\/p>\n
