{"id":46526,"date":"2020-04-06T19:01:15","date_gmt":"2020-04-06T23:01:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/?p=42176"},"modified":"2021-03-25T10:53:28","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T14:53:28","slug":"pardee-school-hosts-virtual-visits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/2020\/04\/06\/pardee-school-hosts-virtual-visits\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcoming the Pardee School Undergraduate Class of 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/welcome-class-of-2024-pardee-school\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/pardeeschool\/files\/2020\/03\/Version-2-Banner-size1024_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"938\" height=\"500\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-42029 size-full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As the ongoing\u00a0campaign to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/2020\/03\/28\/pardee-school-deans-message-to-alumni-on-combatting-covid-19\/\">combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic<\/a> continues and demands of social distancing and self-isolation force the cancellation of all in-person gatherings at Boston University, <span>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/\">Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies<\/a> has created a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/welcome-class-of-2024-pardee-school\/\">virtual open house<\/a> and will be hosting &#8220;virtual visits&#8221; to welcome the incoming Pardee School class of 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The visits will be held on <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_6XQum3IdlI9aXit\">April 8 and 17, 2020<\/a> as\u00a0the Pardee School and\u00a0the\u00a0university design programs to &#8216;open our doors&#8217; to students who want to learn more about our programs during this time and learn more about our faculty, students and activities.<\/p>\n<div class=\"responsive-video responsive-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Class of 2024: We are waiting for you!\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xRa1BoMC6lk?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/welcome-class-of-2024-pardee-school\/\">video message<\/a> sent out to the incoming class, Pardee School <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/adil-najam\/\">Dean Adil Najam<\/a> asked the Class of 2024 to &#8220;come and visit us; you cannot visit us physically right now, but you can visit us online.&#8221; He signed off the message by looking ahead to when the current COVID-19 crises is over, and saying, &#8220;I look forward to seeing you on campus!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/welcome-class-of-2024-pardee-school\/\">virtual visits<\/a> will allow students and parents to learn more about courses, programs, activities, and options available at the Pardee School and how our faculty and students are fulfilling the school mission of &#8216;advancing human progress.&#8217; The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/welcome-class-of-2024-pardee-school\/\">virtual Open House website<\/a> provides a one-stop clearing house of information \u00a0Visitors will be shown information about our various undergraduate majors and about student opportunities available through the Pardee School.
