Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University continued on\u00a0February 26, 2020 with a panel discussion on digital diplomacy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The discussion, entitled \u201cThe Next Phase in Digital Diplomacy: Choices &amp; Challenges,\u201d featured Corneliu Bjola, Associate Professor of Diplomatic Studies at the University of Oxford, \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/paul-webster-hare\/\">Amb. Paul Hare<\/a>, Senior Lecturer at the Pardee School, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/jorge-heine\/\">Amb. Jorge Heine<\/a>, Research Professor at the Pardee School.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As the world becomes more digital and connected, the face of diplomacy itself has been undergoing rapid change, and the panel grappled with the direction as well as implication of this change. Speakers focused both on how the job of diplomats are changing but also on how diplomacy itself is undergoing change because of new technologies as well as much more rapid speeds of developments.
