Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, is facilitating a three-week workshop with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emmanuel.edu\/discover-emmanuel\/centers-partnerships-and-institutes\/institute-of-eastern-mediterranean-studies.html\">the Emmanuel College Institute of Eastern Mediterranean Studies<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As part of the workshop, 30 students are taking part in an international trade simulation led by Amb. Garcevic, who serves as the Ambassador in Residence for the\u00a0<span>Emmanuel College Institute of Eastern Mediterranean Studies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The mission of the Institute of Eastern Mediterranean Studies (IEMS), formally established in 2018, is to promote\u00a0and support the study of\u00a0the Eastern Mediterranean and neighboring regions by building on the liberal arts\u00a0mission of Emmanuel College and leveraging the academic and innovative power of Boston. IEMS at Emmanuel College sponsors academic programs, research and educational opportunities for students, scholars, policymakers and practitioners in Boston and throughout the Eastern Mediterranean.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During his diplomatic career, Amb.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/vesko-garcevic\/\">Vesko Garcevic<\/a><span>\u00a0dealt with issues pertinent to European security and NATO for almost 14 years. In 2004, he was posted in Vienna to serve as Ambassador to Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. He had been a Montenegro\u2019s Ambassador to NATO from 2010 until 2014 and served as a Montenegro\u2019s National Coordinator for NATO from 2015 until he joined the faculty at the Pardee School.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amb.
