Pardee School of Global Studies, spoke as part of a March 12, 2019 panel organized by\u00a0the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), a subsidiary body of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at the United Nations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Gallagher was joined on the panel, entitled\u00a0<span>&#8220;Can Multilateralism Survive? The Future of Development Policy in a Changing Multilateral Context,&#8221;<\/span>\u00a0by fellow\u00a0<span>CDP members Winnie Byanyima, Ha-Joon Chang, and Mariana Mazzucato. Since the CDP\u2019s inception in 1965, there have been only 11 representatives from North America.\u00a0<\/span><span>The CDP is a subsidiary body of ECOSOC providing independent expert advice on a wide range of issues related to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. He previously served on the investment sub-committee of the Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy at the US Department of State and on the National Advisory Committee at the Environmental Protection Agency.\u00a0 \u00a0Gallagher has been a visiting or adjunct professor at the Paul Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University; El Colegio de Mexico in Mexico; Tsinghua University in China, and the Center for State and Society in Argentina.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KevinPGallagher\">@KevinPGallagher<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GDP Center Director Kevin Gallagher spoke as part of a panel entitled &#8220;Can Multilateralism Survive?
