Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, spoke as part of a panel entitled &#8220;<\/span>The Return of Great Power Competition,&#8221;\u00a0<span>at the Cato Institute on January 15, 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In light of the\u00a0<span>Trump administration emphasizing the reemergence of great power competition as the organizing principle for U.S. foreign policy, the panel explored what scholarship should inform its understanding of how to compete with China and Russia and\u00a0how international relations will change in an era when new actors are challenging the status quo. MacDonald, Associate Professor at Wellesley College.
