Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University<\/span><span>\u00a0was proud to participate in Boston University&#8217;s 2018 Alumni Weekend festivities, hosting alumni, current students, and friends of the school for a panel and reception at 121 Bay State Road on September 21, 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Pardee School&#8217;s Alumni Weekend panel, entitled &#8220;The World in Flux: A Changing World Order,&#8221; featured Pardee School faculty including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/vivien-a-schmidt\/\">Vivien Schmidt<\/a><span>,\u00a0<\/span><span>Professor of International Relations and Political Science,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/joshua-shifrinson\/\">Joshua Shifrinson<\/a>,\u00a0Assistant Professor of International Relations, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/manjari-chatterjee-miller\/\">Manjari Chatterjee Miller<\/a>,\u00a0Associate\u00a0Professor of International Relations. The discussion was moderated by Pardee School Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/adil-najam\/\">Adil Najam<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The panel discussed a wide range of topics including the changing world order, the current state of liberal democracies, and the rise of populist leaders around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the Pardee School Dean&#8217;s Advisory Board also attended the panel following the board&#8217;s fall meeting held at 121 Bay State Road earlier in the day.<\/p>\n<p><span>Following the panel<\/span><span>\u00a0a reception was held for alumni and current Pardee School students which provided a<\/span><span>n opportunity for\u00a0interaction\u00a0across\u00a0a wide variety of topics.
