Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University<\/span><span>\u00a0gathered for their\u00a0fifth annual retreat on September 15, 2018 to\u00a0plan for the new academic year and discuss the long-term strategic goals and priorities\u00a0of the school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In what has become an annual tradition, the retreat provides an opportunity for all faculty and staff to gather for intensive discussions on key strategic issues.\u00a0These discussions form the basis of the school&#8217;s priority-setting and planning for the coming year and beyond.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The retreat brought together full-time faculty, lecturers,<\/span><span>\u00a0Directors of the centers and institutes housed at the Pardee School, and staff<\/span><span>. Discussions were led by\u00a0Pardee School Dean\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/adil-najam\/\">Adil Najam<\/a>\u00a0and<span>\u00a0Associate\u00a0Dean\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/william-w-grimes\/\">William Grimes<\/a>. Dean Najam kicked off the retreat by delivering his annual \u201cState of the School\u201d presentation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dean of Students and Associate Provost <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/provost\/about\/administration\/kenneth-elmore\/\">Kenneth Elmore<\/a> delivered a presentation on student life at Boston University.
