The\u00a0Pardee Periodical Journal of Global Affairs<\/em><\/a><\/span>,\u00a0the graduate student academic journal at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University,\u00a0<\/span>is now accepting applications for its Fall 2018 Editorial Board<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Editorial Board of the Pardee Periodical solicits, selects, edits, and publishes thought-provoking work from graduate students around the world to enhance the academic discourse on global affairs and provide a platform for emerging scholars to publish their work.<\/p>\n

The Pardee Periodical is seeking editors for the print and online editions, as well as a print managing editor, an online managing editor, and a production editor. Descriptions of the positions are as follows:<\/p>\n

  1. Print Editor:<\/strong> Responsible for selecting papers, working one-on-one with an author to edit one paper, and assisting in the production and distribution process, as well as the fundraising process. Commitment is approximately 3-5 hours per week, with the expectation that the three-week editing process may require a heightened time commitment.<\/li>\n
  2. Online Editor:<\/strong> Responsible for soliciting and selecting submissions, working with authors to edit pieces throughout the semester, maintaining online content, and assisting with the fundraising process. Commitment is approximately 3-5 hours per week.<\/li>\n
  3. Print Managing Editor:<\/strong> All responsibilities of the Print Editor listed above, with additional responsibilities of overseeing the editing process and working with the Editor-in-Chief and Production Managing Editor throughout the production and distribution process. Commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per week.<\/li>\n
  4. Production Managing Editor:<\/strong> All responsibilities of the Print Editor listed above, with additional responsibilities of leading copy-editing and production process. The Production Managing Editor may be called upon to copy-edit pieces for the online edition as well. Commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per week, with the expectation that the one- to two-week production process may require a heightened time commitment.<\/li>\n
  5. Online Managing Editor:<\/strong> All responsibilities of the Online Editor listed above, with additional responsibilities of overseeing the Online Edition processes from submission to publication. Commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per week.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
