A beautiful warm day greeted the approximately 2,000 guests and 30 faculty members\u00a0who celebrated the\u00a0freshly-minted Pardee School alumni.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The\u00a0221 undergraduates and 47 graduate students will join the more than 9,000 alumni from programs currently under the purview of the Pardee School.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Convocation ceremony included remarks from Dean\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/adil-najam\/\">Adil Najam<\/a>,\u00a0as well as the\u00a0<\/span><span>presentation of the following awards<\/span><span>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>The Carole A. Chandler Citizenship Award, to\u00a0<\/span><strong><em>Zachary Scott Thomas<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>The CAS (College of Arts and Sciences) Prize for Undergraduate Academic Excellence, to\u00a0<\/span><strong><em>Jonathan Richard Hauser<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>The Pardee School Graduate Academic Excellence Award, to\u00a0<\/span><strong><em>Avik Jain<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>The Pardee School Undergraduate Academic Excellence Award, to\u00a0<\/span><strong><em>Casey Kanani Nakamura<\/em><\/strong><em>,\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Coby Andrew Yank-Jacobs<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0and<\/em><em><\/em><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Maria Clara Soares Bezerra<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>The Amb. Hermann Frederick Eilts Graduate Thesis Award, to\u00a0<\/span><strong><em>Florian David Bodamer<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>The Amb.
