Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was recently interviewed for a television segment on President Donald Trump&#8217;s impending decision on how to respond to a suspected chemical attack in Syria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wippl was interviewed for an April 9, 2018 segment on\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcboston.com\">NBC Boston<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>entitled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcboston.com\/news\/local\/Critics-Bemoan-Uncertainty-in-Trumps-Response-to-Syria-479205503.html\">Critics Bemoan Uncertainty in Trump&#8217;s Response to Syria.<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>From the interview:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-pnum=\"7\">Boston University Professor Joe Wippl expects that President Trump will react in a more lethal way than he did last year following a chemical attack in Syria.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-pnum=\"8\">&#8220;Do I think it&#8217;s a good idea? Probably not. I think the best idea that he could possibly have is a political solution,&#8221; Wippl said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-pnum=\"8\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/joseph-wippl\/\">Wippl<\/a><span>\u00a0is a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer. He spent a 30 year career as an operations officer in the National Clandestine Service (NCS).
